How to eat your way through France

It is fair to say that we did not see a vegetable or fruit for two weeks and life was good.

What's the best meal you've ever had?

Oh my goodness everything looks so amazing, including the gorgeous streets and cafes! I'm not sure exactly what was the best meal i've ever had, though my wagu beef at Rockpool was pretty fabulous and definitely a memorable experience, a simple traditional souvlaki in an unassuming spot in the city was pretty awesome and then sometimes my hubby knocks my socks off with the goodness he cooks up, it's hard to say. I love food..x

best meal ever?? oh dear lord...how to choose?
probably Italy in a little restaurant on the Amalfi coast (the company and location always help the food if they're spectacular)

That creme brûlée! It is my favourite!
I was just thinking about the last time I had creme brûlée today!
And I love a long lunch...one that is so long that it almost turns into dinner!

Thank you for sharing those photos...can't wait to see more of your trip!

oh Bron your food journey did not disapoint! I think it's what every parent of smalls dream of...an uninterupted meal at restaurant without toilet stops of "be quiet" or "eat your veggies"! And you did all this in France! Oh what bliss....all my favourite meals are when we travelled Europe too - The pizza, the gelato, the brioche and then there was this one fondue in Switzerland that I'll never quite forget!!! Love all the images bron....keep em coming xx

I don't even much like bread usually but when we were in Paris it was bread and cheeses all the way, followed by many pastries - the food there is just amazing. Sitting back, eating slowly and watching the people... heaven!

I'm salivating just looking at those photos Bron! It bring back some memories.

One of the most memorable and best dinners I've ever had was at "Altitude 95" on the 1st floor of the Eiffel Tour in Paris for our 10th wedding anniversary.

We both had Duck with Morello cherries in port sauce for our main, with a bottle of Bordeau, it was amazing!!

I have to get me to France! Never been (yes, very sad!), but just had my BFF travel there for three weeks to celebrate her 40th. She said the food was to die for. And I can see by your post it's all true. But we are all learning French and so hope one day to visit. One day. X

I love France. I went back when I was 22 and therefore was young and useless, oh how I'd appreciate it so much more now.
