This image stopped me in my tracks (as images often do). It's Mia Farrow at the ball and it's just such an atmospheric, beautifully composed snap. Mia looks amazing and the opulent costuming and marbled room just set the scene for the wonderful night ahead. I want to leap in there (with my catwoman mask in place) and join the party.
The image was sadly via a random tumblr blog with no credit to the source, so click on the image to pin the pin! {EDIT: Our resident sleuth, Mrs BC, has tracked the party to Truman Capote's 1966 Black and White Ball and the photographer to Vanity Fair's Elliott Erwitt... thank you, Mrs BC!}
Wanna come to the party with me?

Mia is so gorgeous! and yes, I'd love to come, will just dust off my Batgirl mask xx
THAT dress! I'm disappearing off to see you on Pinty-rest right now x
I'm pretty sure this photo was taken at Truman Capote's 1966 Black and White ball, around the time Frank Sinatra got married to Mia Farrow. Vanity Fair paid for the party so one of their photographers took it? Google says it was Elliott Erwitt. Yes, I used to be a little Truman Capote obsessed :)
xx
