I hear the fourth of July is big in the USA? Someone told me that once... something about parades and feasts and rosette medallions. I can hear the brass band playing as I write. Like Anzac Day with added American-style hooplah. They sure know how to throw a party.
To honour the festivities that will be kicking off while we Aussies sleep, I've pinned a rosette tutorial. This one is from Juneberry Lane, a blogger who I think gives really good tutorials for the less craftily gifted amongst us. These fan-style rosettes are perfect for party decorations - they are cheap and simple enough to make that you can hang them en masse to great effect.
Check out Juneberry Lane or click on the image to see the pin!
What's your favourite 'celebration day' in your country?

I've made it, too. Am insanely happy. Must photograph it for you! J x
I love those! And yes we Americans like to celebrate.
Trust me. From a girl who has two american sisters in law, it's huge. Whopping! My Australians brothers even wear red white and blue tshirts with the American flag on them! Crossing the line, I say ;) x
