52 weeks of grateful: Thank you

Did you see FIFTY NINE of us linking up last week at our Grateful reunion? It really felt like a party, especially when some of the 'original' grateful gals came back. If we'd have been in a room together, there would have been a lot of running across the room with arms outstretched. And that jumping up and down group hugging thing that we women seem to specialise in. Thank you! THANK YOU.

So, this week I'm grateful for...

260. Thank yous - I think more than any other sentiment, I love 'thank you'. Love is great, kindness is awesome, but thank you is a neat closing off of a gorgeous interaction. Closure and acknowledgement - I'll take it!

261. Down time - I'm hanging out with my little tsunamis this week down at my folks. We're just hanging, doing nothing special (my back is much, much better but we are still on go-slow). The opportunity to be a little bit bored together is really rather lovely.

262. Space - my sister has a new, really-big backyard and it's brilliant. The kids are having a ball in the bottom of the yard and we're happy because they are safe in the backyard, but really, really far away.

Come link up your grateful post with me over at Village Voices or snap a pic via Instagram and hash it with #52weeksofgrateful.

Don't be scared of Village Voices. It's just me, but in my swanky new city apartment...
Same bat, different channel.

What are you up to this weekend?

I am just home from 24 hours of loveliness with MY parents and my little ones, celebrating my Daddy's 70th birthday. I too am grateful for family, mums, dads, sisters, cousins. And Lego when it's raining. x

Just hanging out, doing nothing special - that's the best, always feels special though I think! x

I love a thank you as well - so simple to do but means so much (and is so noticeable when its not given too!)

Enjoy your down time xx

Ooh, how lovely some down time, enjoy. I had never seen the appeal of a really big backyard (too much mowing) but now I understand!

I love being bored, because it doesn't happen often enough. We're having a relaxing school holiday too. So glad to hear your back's on the mend Bron xx

A thank you is such a simple and easy way to show gratitude. It's not said often enough.

I love space. Like right now Mr Black has taken the boys to the park and I am alone. It's really quite nice. Just having that space and not a child clinging on to me or whinging to me about something. As much as I love them.

Excellent Gratefuls. I love the Space, I think that's what I love about the farm, I know they're there but I can't always hear them!
