52 weeks of grateful: Lasagne

It hasn't been too bad a week.I mean, aside from the excruciating pain (which is easing nicely, I'm getting there), I would have to say that I've somewhat enjoyed the rest and... well, parts of it have been marvellous.

Take the inundation of concerned friends bringing us food, help and good wishes. I have never felt the power of community so strongly. Mums at the school who I barely know have emailed or called to offer help. It has left me rather teary at times. The pathos of people rallying around us in this way is rather too much for this one to bear. And the irony of blogging about how much my community means to me just days before it all went down is not lost on me one bit.

So, this week I'm grateful for...

254. Lasagne - is there a person alive who doesn't like lasagne? It's such a wonderful stand-by, especially when delivered with love by thoughtful friends in times of trouble.

255. Pillows - my need for abundant cushioning right now has made me very aware of the comfort and luxury that our many cushions and pillows provide us. Many in the world don't even get one soft landing.

256. Pinterest - I know, I know, I'm obsessed. But it really has kept me upbeat and amused through this dreadful time of seclusion and lying around. It entertains me and I'm loving selecting my new 'Pin of the day' feature for the blog. Even if no one ever bothers with it, I love putting it together. Must do something about that dreadful 'logo' thingy I cobbled together to put at the top of each of the posts. I really can't stand it.

Do you do that? Create something one minute and hate it to pieces the next?

Join us over at Village Voices and link up your own gratefuls. This week I am pouring out my love for neighbourliness.
Link opens 10am Sydney time each Friday.

It's a beautiful way to be.

On the 12wbt crazy exercise thing I did there is a tuna lasagna. Disgusting. You really can't play with the real thing, it is just so good.

So glad to see you're on the mend Bron.

And yes, I constantly make pieces for ZD that look fabulous in my head, but totally wrong in real life!

Have a relaxing weekend, and don't get into those stairs too quickly. xx

I haven't eaten red meat in 13 years - the thought now makes me quite ill - and yet, I STILL crave a good lasagne. That's how good they are. And who doesn't love lots of pillows? xxx
