Here in Maxabellaland, Saturday is traditionally a sport, shop, sort the clothes, sweep the floors, strangle the Tsunamis (insert other 's' words here - no pun intended) kinda day. But it's nice to pause to appreciate the things in your life that are positive and affirming, whatever they may be. I thought it might be nice for us all to do a Saturday Grateful post and link up for lovely bloggy visits.
This Saturday I'm grateful for...
1. My toothbrush. I left it at home when I went to Melbourne. I will never take it for granted again. The path to instant freshness.*
2. My brother in law. You ferry the tsunamis from here to there, you fill the car with petrol, you loan me your camera when mine goes belly up, you look after our house while we're away, you fill our children's worlds with motorbikes and fast cars and girls, girls, girls. We love you, Guis.
3. Murchinson-Hume "Boys Bathroom" Cleaner. Tackles the job with heavy gusto, smells lightly of sweet grapefruit. Almost makes me want to clean!
What's making you smile today? Sign up to the linky and enjoy visiting other grateful bloggers today.
* Of course I bought one in Melbourne... my goodness, the things you think of me!

Ooh I love the sound of the bathroom cleaner...this is my MOST detested job in the house and anything, anything, anything that makes it more pleasant is a gift, thank you.
Enjoy your weekend, I hope it's spent with sparkling pearly whites and some fun time with the B-I-L and your family.
x Felicity
Did you take the photo? It is beautiful. Saturdays are a great day to think about what we are grateful for as they can be so busy at times. Thanks for this link. Charmaine
It's the little things..like toothbrushes we just can't be without! Thank goodness for lovely brothers...
That photo is FAB! You can never underestimate the importance of it, that's for sure. Have a lovely weekend x
We went down to Lorne this January and realized when unpacking the car that we had left both Goose and Frog's bags back in Melbourne. Not driving the couple of hours back thanks! We had to buy a new toothbrush also..... and frequent the local opshop....-lucky the weather was warm!
Well in the spirit of my cleaning post today I better get me some of that special boys cleaner you mentioned...
Right now I am grateful for finally figuring out how to publish this morning's post...I had it all ready to go last night and then I have had issues with blogger all morning....It has taken me two hours to get it published!
Thanks for doing this fantastic linky...really enjoy it and have met some lovely bloggers through it
I'm a huge fan of the MHBBC as well. Also a huge fan of toothbrushes and your BIL. :-)
Oh i am having HUGE blogger problems this morning and can't publish my post....so my link above does not go anywhere...sorry!
Am admitting defeat and turning my attention back to the monkeys who are going CRAZY right about now...
i will get grateful again next week i think! xo
P.S Word Verification is HATED! I do not like to mention this word on your grateful morning but it is appropriate in my feelings towards blogger right now!
Yey, so many things to be grateful for. =) I am grateful for my fluffy pillows that helps me sleep at night. I was out of town the other other night and the pillow where I slept was not fluffy at all. boohoo. I am grateful for a sunny Saturday. Have a great weekend sweetie
totally agree with the toothbrush!
There's a special cleaner for boys? I need that!
Red V cupcakes are making me smile today (yes, I'm a tragic St George fan).
I've linked yesterday's post rather than my Simple Things post this week; it just seemed to fit better.
x
you bought a new one in melbourne, but did you put 100's and 1000's on it?? that's the real question i want to know!
I am grateful that my kids like bushwalking as much as I do, because today the sun was shining and we saw kangaroos! :-)
If they made a toothpaste like that - I want to know where from! Really enjoying this saturday grateful post :)
Mmm...that freshness of a toothbrush (and accompanying toothpaste)...good stuff!!
Today I'm grateful for the cup of coffee that is starting my morning...and warming my soul on this cool morning.
Hi, Maxabella-my daughter is under the weather today and I made a big pot of chicken noodle soup yesterday. Today as I was warming a bowl for my "baby" the golden sheen on top of the broth and fragrant steam arising from the bowl made me smile. I always keep extra toothbrushes on hand for when a niece or nephew comes over for a visit that turns into a sleepover (we rarely have other overnight guests since the majority of my family lives nearby) or one of the kiddoes gets sick-out with the old, in with the new! I'm enjoying a slow and sunny Saturday...hope you are, too.
lol i love the note about the tooth brush :-)
